Product Overview

The MEAREG MG-DCR is a Dual-Channel Condensing Defrosting Recovery Unit designed for industrial exhaust gas treatment. It utilizes a refrigeration system to condense VOCs while effectively managing the ice blockage issues common in low-temperature processing.

Why Periodic Defrosting is Necessary

Most exhaust gases contain water. When the air temperature drops to approximately 5°C, the saturated water content (about 7 g/m³) in the exhaust gas will freeze inside the low-temperature condenser. Over time, the ice buildup increases and can block the channels of the heat exchanger, requiring periodic defrosting.

Key Operating Features

• Dual-Channel Switching: The unit is equipped with two channels. When the gas pressure drop on one side reaches the set value, the system automatically switches to the other condenser heat exchanger system to ensure continuous operation.
• Energy Saving & Consumption Reduction:The blocked channel enters the defrosting and pre-cooling process. The heat source for the defrosting system mainly comes from the high-temperature refrigerant of the compressor. This fully utilizes the energy of the refrigeration system to achieve energy-saving goals.

Process Flow

• The exhaust gas passes through the heat exchange channels.
• The system uses compressors and multi-stage heat exchangers to cool the gas.
• By utilizing the automatic switching valves, the system alternates between the two channels for condensation recovery and defrosting.
