Product Overview

The MEAREG MG-TO-D Series is a Direct-Fired Thermal Oxidizer (TO) designed for the effective destruction of high-concentration VOCs. Also known as a direct combustion furnace, it operates by directly burning organic pollutants at high temperatures, converting them into harmless CO₂, H₂O, and reaction heat (VOCs + O₂ → CO₂ + H₂O + Heat). It is an efficient solution for exhaust streams with small volumes and high pollutant concentrations.

Working Principle & Process Flow

1. Preheating: Waste gas enters the heat exchanger and is preheated to approximately 350°C.
2. Combustion:The preheated gas enters the furnace, where it is combusted at high temperatures (750°C in the chamber).
3. Heat Recovery:The high-temperature flue gas exits the furnace and passes back through the heat exchanger (cooling to 450°C) to preheat the incoming waste gas.
4. Waste Heat Boiler:The gas then enters the waste heat boiler (Reboiler), where it generates steam and cools down to 130°C. Waste material can also be fed into the boiler for thermal treatment.
5. Exhaust:Finally, the clean gas is discharged at approximately 200°C.

Technical Features

• Sufficient Residence Time:Ensures a minimum retention time of 0.5 to 1.0 seconds for complete oxidation.

• Economic Heat Recovery:By integrating heat exchangers and waste heat boilers, the system enables economic heat recovery (e.g., generating steam).
• Fuel Efficiency Configuration:To prevent high fuel consumption, MEAREG configures these systems with efficient heat recovery units to maximize thermal efficiency and lower operating costs.
